Greensboro Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
General Questions
Q: Who are these tours for?
A: Anyone interested in Greensboro’s history, present, and future — visitors, newcomers, lifelong locals, spouses of conference attendees, homeschoolers, bridal parties, CEOs, and curious explorers.
Q: How long does a tour take?
A: Tours last 3–5 hours. We practice slow travel so you can enjoy the city fully without rushing.
Q: What will I see?
A: Elm Street, historic landmarks, cultural sites, and the stories that shaped Greensboro — past, present, and what’s ahead.
Q: Why do you start with a picnic?
A: It’s our way of building connection. The first 30 minutes help the group relax, meet each other, and begin the day with joy.
Meeting Point
Q: Where do I meet the group?
A: At LeBauer Park, under Janet Echelman’s aerial sculpture Where We Met. Look for the picnic setup. (if this changes you will be informed)
Q: Can I join the tour at another meeting point during the day?
A: Yes — just tell us where you’d like to meet. But you’ll miss the welcome picnic, bonding time, and early stories.
Tour Details
Q: Why does a group have only 6-8 participants?
A: Small groups allow for personalized experiences, easy walking, better conversation, and deeper storytelling.
Q: What languages are offered?
A: We offer our tours in English and German language.
Q: Are the advertised tour dates the only time you are offering the tours?
A: If you have a group of 6 or more, we’ll work to find a date that fits your schedule
Q: Pricing & What’s Included
A: Your day is fully curated — food, experiences, and cultural moments are included. Only the optional “wrap‑up” portion at the end is not covered. Each tour page lists the specific inclusions.
Special Needs
Q: What if I have functional needs?
A: This is a walking tour at a leisurely pace with breaks. Small groups allow us to accommodate most needs.
Q: What if I have dietary restrictions?
A: Tell us at signup (at least 3 days in advance) and we’ll prepare an alternative picnic and lunch.
