Do not Miss Out!

"Make New Friends Today" Tour

While visiting our family in Greensboro we were invited to a tour of the town with Marion. The start with a lovely picnic and some bubbly was a pleasant surprise, to say the least. What also came as a surprise was to discover a completely different side of a town we thought we knew so well. Marion was a tremendous guide with lots of knowledge, insider information, and charm. We had a very good time with this perfect mixture of information, fun, and lasting impressions, like the first “Sit-in” location on Elm Street or the backstage tour of the “Carolina Theatre.”

Well, folks, if you should visit Greensboro one day, do not miss out on participating in Marion‘s cultural walking tour.

Cocktail Class

...and I made a lot of great friends

Marion, thank you for creating a fun cocktail event at Muddle. Enjoyed meeting new folks and learning how to make the French 75 and Bee’s Knees. It was obvious Chris at Muddle enjoys sharing the history and bartender 101s to cocktails which were fabulous. Adam and LT were very engaging too. Best French 75 in GSO! My first time at Muddle and loved the classic upscale relaxing environment and can’t wait for the next one!

Even the teens liked the tour

I asked Marion to do a custom tour for a group of homeschooled children. We discussed the topics that we had been learning in class, and Marion curated a fabulous, personalized tour for us. She set a beautiful welcome table for the teenagers, and they were delighted to be treated in such a manner.

Marion made sure that the first 20 minutes of the tour was chatting and socializing so that everyone felt comfortable with her as the tour guide. As part of the interaction, Marion created a custom—made scavenger hunt for the group. They were very excited about that endeavor!

Marion is personable, interesting and charming. The teenagers loved her! She took them through the Greensboro Historical Museum and then we toured Elm Street.

Marion was full of facts and stories about the town. She even researched a particular statue that we were curious about-and gave us a full and interesting answer about it!

We were delighted with Marion’s tour and highly recommend her as a tour guide. She knows her stuff and willingly adapted the tour to match to our specific group request.

If you’ve never been to Greensboro, or you are a Greensborian through and through—there’s something on this tour for everyone!

Museum_walk.jpgI took my out-of-town friends on a Greensboro tour and we loved it. So much history, and fun learning it all while making new friends. Marion is an expert guide thru the architectural, historical, and culinary path thru Greensboro. I recommend you do this if you’ve lived here for a while, or new in town, or just visiting. It’s complete with a little gift bag at the end of the tour… it’s truly a hidden gem of a tour, made with ❤️.

Graz - Styria Tour

Graz_townhall.jpgwhat a treat - in more than one way

There’s something truly special about exploring a city with someone who calls it home — and Marion made Graz come alive in the most wonderful way. Her stories and little facts weren’t just informative; they were lived. You could feel how proud she is of her city and how much she wanted us to experience that same feeling too.

Despite the rain, I loved every bit of our walk — the quiet church, the hidden courtyard surprise, the pastries at the beautiful Hofbäckerei Edegger-Tax, a delicious and cozy lunch at Der Steirer, and of course, that iconic view from the Uhrturm.

Our stay at Rogner Bad Blumau turned out to be the “me-time” treat we didn’t even know we needed. After two nights of thermal pools, saunas, steam baths, and generous breakfast and dinner spreads, we still wished we had one more day.
On our way back to Leibnitz, we stopped at Riegersburg — and for fellow chocolate lovers, do not miss the Zotter chocolate factory. My only tip? Pace yourself with the samples early on… unless you want to experience what I can only describe as a “cocoa-induced enlightenment” by the end of the tour.
Thank you, Marion, for such a warm and memorable introduction to your beautiful city!

I didn't know

We had a fantastic time with Marion in Styria/Steiermark and discovered some well known and some not so well known places. Marion carried us all along, enthusiastically, not only explaining to us the sites but also gave us the personal context and history to this wonderful region. The tour in Graz we started with an elegant local breakfast at the opera cafe, followed by a walk through town, on major boulevards and through back-alleys, and it never felt like a typical tourist tour but rather a walk with a good friend. We had a necessary pit stop at a local pub and a hearty lunch to savour the local delicacies and of course the tour included a ride up to the city's landmark clock tower to take in the views of the city. Tired but satisfied we ended that day. The other days Marion brought us to a quirky spa resort (buildings designed by the Austrian artist Friedrich Hundertwasser) and to the medieval Riegersburg castle and the family-owned Zotter chocolate factory, where we sampled too many of the zillions of chocolate delicacies offered during the tour... Thanks Marion for that great time!
